Clear Braces for the Modern World
A straight smile is a healthy smile. Did you know the position and spacing of your teeth can affect your gums, sleep, and heart? There are plenty of cosmetic and health reasons to straighten your smile. And with Invisalign®, no longer does heavy metal mouth gear have to be just another rite of passage.
Dr. Yakowicz at Belleville Neighborhood Smiles is a certified Invisalign® provider. Whatever your orthodontic goals are, let our office give you your best smile without unsightly metal braces.
What is Invisalign®?
Like conventional braces, Invisalign® shifts your teeth to improve function and create a beautiful smile. However, unlike metal braces, Invisalign® uses clear alignment trays that are nearly invisible and less painful.
Better teeth alignment can improve:
- Smile & outward appearance
- Crooked teeth
- Crowded teeth
- Widely spaced teeth
- Gum health—which improves heart health
- Bite, jaw tension & pain
- Mouth space—which can help with sleep & allergy problems
Lifestyle Advantages of Invisalign®
The most attractive part of Invisalign® is the unique alignment trays. Strong, clear, plastic aligners are made custom to fit your mouth and alignment needs.
The aligners are nearly invisible and do not get in the way of eating, talking, working, or anything! You can even remove them for special occasions (even though they really are quite easy to forget about).
Invisalign® improves your original, natural teeth for preventative health and a lifetime of benefits.
The treatment takes about a year (more or less depending on your individual needs), which is faster than conventional braces. And most patients report only slight tenderness when using Invisalign®. It does not irritate your gums, tongue, or the inside of your mouth.

How Do I Get Invisalign®?
Beginning with a consultation, Dr. Yakowicz will assess your orthodontic needs and make a personalized treatment plan.
We make custom aligners to fit your mouth and begin moving your teeth. Aligners are usually switched out every two weeks to continue fitting and improving your smile. You must wear your aligners at all times, other than when eating or drinking, cleaning your teeth, or the occasional special event.
